With its 634m (2,080 ft), Skytree is among Tokyo’s most visited attractions. The TV and radio broadcasting structure welcomes millions every year. It’s two decks open to the public, at 350m and 450m height, offer a 360° panoramic view over the Japanese capital and mount Fuji.
THE TOWER
This neo-futuristic structure with a triangular shape gradually changing to a circle, stands at 634 meters (2,080 feet) tall making it the tallest structure in Japan.
Its height was deliberately chosen to be 634 meters, as these numbers can be read as “MUSASHI” in Japanese – the historic Musashi Province where Tokyo was once located
THE DECKS
Tembo Deck & Tembo Galleria are the two primary observation areas located respectively at 350 meters (1,148 feet) and at 450 meters (1,476 feet). Each of them comprises of 3 floors with various venues.
“The Sorakara Point” 451.2 meters (1,480 feet) is at the very top of the Tembo Galleria and is the highest point in the tower accessible to visitors.
TEMBO ELEVATOR (SHUTTLE)
The incredible experience of Tokyo SKYTREE starts in the lift.
A high-speed elevator system, the Tembo Shuttle is an attraction on its own. This high-tech elevator will lift you to the Tembo deck for less than a minute. It ascends at an impressive 600 meters per minute, covering the distance of 350 meters in a mere 50 seconds.
To add to the Tokyo SKYTREE’s experience, during the lift to the next platform, the Tembo Shuttle has decorations featuring spring, summer, fall, and winter.
Videos on the ceiling and the elevator’s door show the progress in lifting to 350m. Get your camera ready as soon as the door of the elevator closes.
THE 350m DECK
Tokyo SKYTREE Tembo Deck (350, 345, 340 floors) is the lowest platform of the two. Glass floow, restaurants, cafés, souvenir shops, commemorative photos corner, and of course, a splendid view over Tokyo.
There is also a currency desk, ticket boot, mobile battery rental, and luggage lockers. The Tempo Deck welcomes people with disabilities. This is the highest point where a wheelchair can get.

THE 450m DECK
Tembo Gallery (445, 450 floors) is Tokyo SKYTREE’s second deck – the highest point where a visitor can get. A spiral path will guide you to Sorakara Point – 451.2m above the town where various events take place.
SKYTREE Archives are videos and images showing how the surroundings, the people, and the city have changed over the years. This historical calendar keeps the main transformations of Tokyo while a high-definition digital telescope looks over contemporary Tokyo.

THE LIGHTS
As night falls, the Tower’s lights gradually come to life, changing from a soft blue-white reminiscent of the sky to a warmer golden. This is called “Miyabi” or elegance and symbolizes the connection between traditional Edo (old Tokyo) and modern Tokyo.
Iki (Sky Blue): This is the default nighttime illumination. It represents the modern spirit of Tokyo and the tower’s role as a new landmark.
Miyabi (Champagne Gold): Used in combination with Iki, this warm golden hue symbolizes the connection between traditional Edo culture and contemporary Tokyo.
Sakura (Pink): Displayed during cherry blossom season, typically in late March to early April, celebrating this iconic Japanese cultural event.
Fuyu (Snow White): Used in winter months, evoking the serene beauty of snowfall.
Natsu (Blue): A summer-themed illumination reminiscent of cool water and clear skies.
